Duty Report Makes Me Successful

【摘 要】By making a duty report, the students can cooperate with others and solve the problems together and finally report the result in order to complete the study task together . Five-minute duty report before class every day can show all of us the students’ talents. The students can learn English more easily and they can make great progress.

《The New English Curriculum Standard》tells us that we can exchange information we know and states our own viewpoint in our daily life in English about each kind of topic with other people. We can cooperate with others and solve the problems together and finally reports the result in order to complete the study task together . If we really want to achieve the final goal about English study, we should often communicate with others in English. So teachers must give the students some chances to learn by themselves and talk with each other and give them enough space to show themselves to others and improve themselves. We can encourage the students to develop the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing by experience, practice, discussion, cooperarion and study. We should creat all kinds of chances to make the students find out the things they are interested in and express their ideas in English.
The produce of “Duty Report”:
How to understand and achieve the goal better 《The New English Curriculum Standard》told us is the main topic we meet now. As a teacher,I try out the best way to make the students learn English well. In order to get a good teaching result, I work hard at teaching reform. I pay more attention to the forty-five minutes’class and find out a lot of good ways of teaching. For example, multimedia come into class to make our class lively and the students learn the knowledge direct-viewing and vivid. It can also make the contents we teach understood easily. In addition, I make the powerpoint to increase more knowledge we went over in class and express the main points we have studied better. The students can understand and use the knowledge freely. Especially “Duty Report” before class makes my class more and more wonderful. The students can learn easily and the teacher teach better. By teaching for more than 20 years, I have got a lot of experience and made better grades. In the final exam after three years in Datong, our students got the first or second place in all the schools in Datong. As a result, “Duty Report” for five minutes before class is successful.
The process of “Duty Report”:
This is my “Duty Report”. First, the class is divided into several groups, seven or eight students a group. They creat the situation by themselves, write and direct and play all by themselves. Each group has two learning monitors. They lead their members to imagine daringly. They make dialogues by putting many topics we have learned together.They edit, write, and play the “Duty Report” in their free time. If they have problems, they always discuss together and solve them together. During the edition they sometimes make many mistakes in the grammar, sentences, structure or communication languages.The teacher can correct their mistakes again and again. They can also meet many new words or the difficult sentences they can’t express. They often ask a dictionary or teachers for help or surf the Internet until they are satisfied with their play. They can take the initiative in English class to make process so that they are more interested in English now. Of course they can cooperate with the teacher better in class. Such study really reflects that the students can act on their own and take an active part in English learning. During the play rehearsing, some difficult students can’t remember the sentences they will act out. The learning monitor often helps them patiently until they can speak fluently. By learning and helping each other, no student in our class falls behind. In order to make the play lively and interesting, they make the scene and stage property by themselves. Finally, they show the content they have learned creatly and lively in front of the classmates. When they finish their play, others give them a mark. Each group wants to get a high mark, they always make a competition. So the classmates learn from each other and help each other. The plays are  more and more wonderful. As a result, we believe it’s easy to teach the students well.
The achievement of “Duty Report”:
Five-minute duty report before class every day can show all of us the students’ talents. When they play, they often bring the real things here from their homes and put on the acting clothes. For example, when they act to take part in the classmate’s party, they need to make a banana milk shake by themselves. They bring the blender and all kinds of food here. And they are acting by making it and ask the classmates to taste it. Let’s think if the students can learn this lesson well by themselves, why do our teachers replace them? Their humorous performance can bring the intermitten applause. The students have revealed the understanding smiling. We of course can give them right to express themselves. In English teaching, we should respect each student, encourage them to have a try in learning English.We should also protect their self-respect and enthusiasm. It can make the students learn each other and help each other. They can experience collective sense of honon and sense of achievement, develop team spirit. With the good students’ help, the other students also strengthen their desire and the interest of studying English. They would like to take part in all kinds of English activities so as to have a confidence of learning English well and they are not afraid to express themselves in English. So in a duty report they can cooperate with others positively and finish learning task together.
     We believe that duty report must make our teaching full of brilliance.
